Terms of Service

Last updated: October 19, 2026

These terms explain the rules for using this website and its free resources. Paid work is always covered by a separate written agreement.

1. About these terms

These terms apply to your use of jasonharlton.com and any free resources on it. The website is run by Jason Harlton, trading as Jason Harlton Marketing & Consulting (“I”, “me”, “my”). By using the site, you agree to these terms. If you don’t agree, please don’t use the site.

2. Paid work is covered by a separate agreement

Every engagement is scoped after a free call and confirmed in a written proposal or agreement. That agreement sets out the scope, fees, timelines, ownership of work, confidentiality and other details. If it conflicts with these terms, the written agreement applies.

3. Information on this site

Content on this site is general information about marketing and my services. It isn’t professional advice for your particular business, and it isn’t legal, tax or financial advice. Case studies and results describe past work with specific clients and are anonymised. They don’t guarantee that you’ll get the same results.

4. No guaranteed results

Marketing results depend on many things outside my control, including your market, product, pricing, budget, competition and changes made by advertising platforms. I commit to doing careful, honest work, but I can’t guarantee specific outcomes such as revenue, leads, rankings or return on ad spend.

5. Advertising platforms and ad spend

Ad spend is paid directly to platforms such as Google, Meta, LinkedIn, Amazon and TikTok from your own accounts, and isn’t included in my fees. Your use of those platforms is covered by their own terms and policies. I’m not responsible for decisions they make, such as ad disapprovals, account suspensions, policy changes or billing issues.

6. Free tools and templates

Free resources such as the Performance Max template are provided as they are, for your own business use. Please check any figures before relying on them. You’re welcome to use and adapt them for your business, but please don’t resell or redistribute them as your own.

7. Use of AI

I use AI tools to support research, drafting and analysis. Everything AI helps produce is reviewed by a person, but AI can still make mistakes. How I handle your confidential information with AI is explained in the Privacy Policy.

8. Intellectual property

The content, design, text, images, logo and branding on this site belong to me or are used with permission. You may view and share pages for personal or internal business use, but you may not copy, republish or sell the site’s content without my written permission. Certification names and platform names mentioned on the site belong to their owners and are used only to describe my qualifications and experience.

9. Acceptable use

Please don’t use this site to break the law, send spam, try to gain unauthorised access, introduce malicious code or interfere with how the site works.

10. Third-party links

This site links to services run by others, such as Calendly, LinkedIn, Instagram, Google and certification providers. I don’t control those services and I’m not responsible for their content or how they handle your information.

11. Limitation of liability

To the fullest extent the law allows, I’m not liable for any indirect or consequential loss, or for loss of profit, revenue, data or business opportunity, that comes from using this website or its free resources. Nothing in these terms limits liability that cannot be limited by law. Liability for paid work is set out in your engagement agreement.

12. Changes to these terms

I may update these terms from time to time. The “Last updated” date at the top shows when they last changed. Continuing to use the site after an update means you accept the new terms.

13. Governing law

For paid work, the governing law is set out in your engagement agreement. For use of this website, these terms are governed by the laws of the place where I am based, unless the consumer protection laws of your own country give you rights that can’t be overridden.
